Green energy

Renewable supply that you can actually explain to a board or a customer.

Green is not one product. We compare certified renewable electricity and gas options against standard tariffs so you can see the extra cost, the certificates behind the claim, and whether on-site generation would do more for the carbon number.

No upfront quote fee. No obligation. Clear next steps before you switch.

Certified

We distinguish REGOs and genuine renewable tariffs from vague “green” labels.

Same switch

Moving to a renewable tariff is still a supplier change — supply stays on.

Optional

If green is a must-have we filter for it. If not, we show the cost of adding it.

Who it is for

Built around how the sites actually use energy

We match the product to the meters, the load and the contract you already have — not a generic package.

  • Businesses with a net-zero or ESG target that need the supply contract to match.
  • Tenders and customers who ask where the electricity comes from.
  • Finance teams that want the premium for green spelled out, not buried.
  • Sites considering solar as well as a greener grid contract.

The range

What “green” can mean on a contract

Options explained in plain English. Pricing is quoted to your sites and term — we do not publish a public rate card.

Renewable electricity tariffs

Supplier-backed renewable electricity, typically evidenced with REGOs. We explain what the certificate covers and what it does not, so marketing claims do not outrun the paperwork.

Green gas

Biomethane or carbon-offset gas products vary widely. We treat them as a separate decision from electricity, with the evidence and the premium shown clearly.

Matching generation to demand

For larger users, longer-term structures such as synthetic or virtual PPAs can sit alongside a supply contract. We only open that conversation where the volume justifies it.

Green plus on-site solar

A renewable tariff on the residual grid import, plus rooftop or ground-mount generation, is often the more honest carbon story. We can quote both in one conversation.

Included

What you get from the comparison

  • Standard vs renewable quotes side by side so the premium is visible.
  • A plain-English note on certificates and what they prove.
  • Exclusion of any supplier you do not want on the shortlist.
  • Links to solar and energy management if those would move the needle more than the tariff.
  • Switching support once you have chosen.

Worth knowing

A green logo is not the same as a certified supply

If you need this for reporting, we will not sell you a vaguely branded tariff and hope the auditor does not ask. The evidence has to match the claim.

In practice

When green is the right conversation

The customer asked in a tender

You need a contract you can point to. We shortlist products that can be evidenced, not just described as green on a website.

The board wants net zero, finance wants cost

We show the incremental cost of certified supply versus a standard tariff, then whether solar or voltage optimisation would save more carbon per pound.

Already on a green tariff, unsure if it is any good

Bring the current contract. We check the certification and whether the market has cheaper equivalent products.

Questions

What should I know before I request a quote?

Sometimes, not always. We quote standard and renewable options together so you can see the difference on your usage before you decide.
